ACDC – Black Ice (2008) [P2P]

nullHello all! I haven’t been around posting in ages, but some of you might have noticed me in the comments =D Anyways, enough with the crap. It’s ACDC’s latest album Black Ice … unfortunately it’s a P2P release but it’s here anyways. Enjoy the album, its no chart smasher but Rock N’ Roll train has gained significant airplay on my local rock stations. *Will Update when Scene Release Comes Out*

AC/DC are an Australian hard rock band formed in Sydney, Australia in 1973 by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young. Although the band are considered pioneers of heavy metal, its members have always classified their music as “rock ‘n’ roll”. AC/DC have sold more than 200 million albums worldwide, including 69 million albums in the United States.

Black Ice is the upcoming fifteenth studio album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC, set to be released on October 18, 2008 for Australia and October 20 for the rest of the world. It will be their first album in eight years, since the release of Stiff Upper Lip in 2000, the longest gap between AC/DC’s studio albums to date. The album was produced by Brendan O’Brien and recorded and mixed by Mike Fraser at The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

John Mellencamp – Life, Death, Love, And Freedom (2008)

Hello all. Back from my vacation & I’d like to show you some new Mellencamp Material. Now for those who don’t know who this guy is … you might think of it like this. Some people love Adam Sandler, some hate him. There are very few middle-men. Mellencamp is in this same boat. His older works are in my best summer memories and I love his tunes. Rock, Folk-Rock or whathaveyou, group XXL brings us his latest. Although I don’t think his new stuff will chart-top like he did back in the day; it is full of powerful and meaningful songs. Enjoy! *Check out Jena (track 10) on youtube. Click the song title* If you like the tunes support the artist. He’s great live (2007) as he was back in the 80s.

Life, Death, Love and Freedom is a 2008 Folk rock album by singer-songwriter John Mellencamp and produced by T Bone Burnett. It will be released on July 15, 2008. Life, Death, Love and Freedom will be the first ever release in the ΧΟΔΕ (CODE) format. T-Bone Burnett and his team of engineers developed CODE, a proprietary audio technology that creates high-definition audio files that are virtually indistinguishable from the original master tapes.

Motley Crue – Saints Of Los Angeles (2008)

Howdy all! This has been my first release in a while, as the music scene has been pretty dead. At any rate, I have for you Motley Crue’s latest album, Saints of L.A. hot and ready to go [4 days early]. These guys can still rock, the album sounds amazing and it looks pretty promising. The boys in Crue have lived up the their badass reputation and the album could have been dated 1987 … it’s the old Crue (a little aged) but it still sounds like them. Check this out if you love ‘em, and for you youngens who’ve never picked up a record, check this out. Good solid rockin’ at the core. Enjoy!

All the filth and fury of their Eighties heyday, finally funneled into an album Mötley Crüe have created a cottage industry out of rehashing their excesses: Their tales of debauchery have already fueled dozens of books and a standard-bearing episode of Behind the Music. Now they’ve woven those stories into their first album in eight years. Inspired by their 2001 sleazeography, The Dirt, Saints of Los Angeles finds Vince Neil flashing back to the band’s golden age: gigging on the Sunset Strip, snorting powders, screwing the wrong girls and (later) filing lawsuits (the band sued its former manager last year). (More)

Mötley Crüe is an American glam metal/heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1981. The band was founded by bass guitarist Nikki Sixx (who was, at the time, in a band called London) and drummer Tommy Lee, who were later joined by lead guitarist Mick Mars (whom Sixx first met at a liquor store, before they met again through a classified ad) and singer Vince Neil. Mötley Crüe has sold over 72 million album copies worldwide, including 25 million copies in the US alone. The band has often been noted for their hard-living lifestyles; all members have had numerous brushes with the law, spent time in jail, suffered long addictions to alcohol and drugs, had countless escapades with women, and are heavily tattooed.

Judas Priest – Nostradamus (2008) [2CD]

WHOOOO!!! My favorite release thus far! Just out today, I give you Judas Priest’s Nostradamus. I’m a huge fan of JP and I can’t wait to see the show in my town late April. This album hauls ass. Think classic JP, add some symphony-type stuff (metal focused) and turn it up. Not much more can be said. Pretty standard release, 2CD with fairly high VBR. Enjoy! I know I will.

Nostradamus is a forthcoming concept album by English heavy metal band Judas Priest, focusing on the 16th century prophet Nostradamus. The band’s first concept album, it was originally intended to be released in late 2006 before being pushed to a 2007 release, and now, according to the official website, is set to be released on June 16th 2008 on Epic records. Musically, the album will contain symphonic orchestrations including the use of keyboards and choirs which will be unlike anything the band have previously attempted before. Nostradamus centers around the life and times of the prophet. The first disc details various prophecies he has about the future and the end of the world. This leads to him being exiled. Later on, after his death, the world realizes just how right he was.

Valient Thorr – Immortalizer (2008)

I wish I was home at my PC when the Offspring release came out, I’ve been looking forward to that one for ages. Thanks Chinballs for that post!

Right from the BUTT, release group that is, we have a new album from Rock-ish, Grungy, kind-of ‘old-skool’ sounding Valient Thorr. These guys released their first album as a 1000 print release for those who attended their show. They have a cult fan following and have some pretty wild stage antics. I have never heard of these guys before this album, but I like their heavy, thick sounding tunes. This is the band’s 4th album release, and the third under the Volcom label. The band is a bunch of self-proclaimed boarders and rockers. Check out their myspace page (link at bottom) to see more. They have a hint of punk in them and they can be compared to older rock/heavy metal. It’s a bit of everything honestly! I’d recommend this to anyone who likes Metallica, Crüe, Maiden, Older NIN works maybe, etc… Enjoy!

The group has based their band backstory on a conspiracy theory and changed part to fit in with the band, which consists of the band landing their spaceship in North Carolina in 1957. Also, according to this story, they are from Burlatia, which is located inside the planet Venus near the three ice rivers. Check out their page (links below) for more info on this band. Kind of interesting, something outside of the normal Hollywood rockers. Finally .. Check out Wikipedia for more info on the band & their ‘backstory’.

Coldplay – Viva La Vida (2008)

Due out the mid June, Coldplay’s latest album entitled Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends (Viva La Vida for short) is now available for your downloading pleasures. Now, I’ve never been interested in Coldplay but this album might be their most listen-able to date. This album has been long anticipated, as many fans have been guessing at the albums’ name since late ’06. The band itself didn’t want to play any songs on their recent tours as they were afraid they would leak onto the internet. Well, leaked on to the internet a few days early, I hope some of you can find the courage to enjoy Coldplay’s latest. Enjoy!

Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, or its short name Viva la Vida, is the fourth studio album by British band Coldplay. Viva la Vida takes its name from a painting by Frida Kahlo, the acclaimed 20th century Mexican artist; the title’s literal translation is “live the life”. “X&Y was a little forced, with very generalised songs that were written simply to sell the album, but Viva la Vida returns to the Rush of Blood to the Head days, with each song coming directly from the bands experience, with soaring lyrics sung beautifully and music to really move you. This album is that rare thing, not just preduced, felt by the band and most definitly enjoyed by the listener. Coldplay are about to peak with this album. Enjoy” (from HMV.com review)

Bad Religion – New Maps of Hell (2008) [Deluxe Edition]

The kind folks over at UBE have brought us Bad Religion’s New Maps of Hell, deluxe edition. This one is a pretty high quality VBR rip, with 7 bonus tracks from the original 2007 release. Hope you enjoy guys … I’ve been looking forward to this one since I grabbed the original last year. These guys have been around for a while, one of the latecomers into the punk scene. Good tunes in general but don’t expect a record breaking single or anything. After all, these guys formed in the 80′s. Cheers!

New Maps of Hell deluxe, Bad Religion’s first expanded-version release, includes the original 16 song NMOH CD, along with seven new acoustic tracks. Three of the acoustic songs are new, written specifically for this release; the other four tracks are new acoustic versions of BR classics such as “Sorrow” and the perennial favorite “Skyscraper.” New Maps of Hell also marks the third Bad Religion album released after returning to Epitaph Records for 2002′s The Process of Belief and with Gurewitz since his departure during the release of 1994′s Stranger Than Fiction.
